My grandparents got cel phones this year under the Verizon plan. You know, those guys who are always touting how good their service is? Well, apparently their service sucks ass. Neither of their phones will work from their home or most of the areas in town. Meanwhile, my aunt's Cingular phone, my own Tracphone (runs on Alltel towers), and every other cel phone service works perfectly. Go figure.
Every time my grandpa sees that "Can you hear me now?" guy, he snarls "NO!" in response, then snaps out some creative form of torture for the man. *grins* I'm all for it. That guy drives me nuts!
In more recent news, our phone lines drowned. Now before you freak out, I live in Missouri. Ya see, every time it rains, our phone signal goes staticy. We've called them about it before, but they've brushed it off and eventually our phones returned to normal. This time it didn't and apparently it wasn't just us. Once we contacted our phone company, we were told that we should have our phones back by sunday the 18th. They told us this on thursday the 15th.
